REGISTRATION FOR THE 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR WILL BE OPEN ON APRIL 1ST

To register your child for Grades K - 12, please start by filling out the Pre-Registration Form on PowerSchool.

If your child lives in Yarmouth and will be enrolling in Grades K - 3, please refer to School Assignment By Street in order to determine the appropriate elementary school. 

Once approved by the specific school, you will receive an email from PowerSchool with instructions on how to set up your account. There will be several forms you will need to fill out and documents you will need to upload (refer to the Required Documents page for a list of acceptable documents).

A Checklist is also available to assist in ensuring you have completed the necessary steps.

If you already have a PowerSchool account and need to register another child, please refer to the PowerSchool Resources page for additional instructions.

NOTE: Students must be 5 years old by September 1st to enroll in Kindergarten.

Early Education Community Peers Application Process for 2026-2027 School Year

The Dennis-Yarmouth Regional School District is excited to offer the opportunity for children to join our preschool program as Community Peers for the 2026-2027 school year. The following details outline the application process:

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Children must be 3 years old by August 31, 2026.
  • Proof of residency in the town of Dennis or Yarmouth is required.
  • Community Peers must be toilet trained prior to enrollment.
  • Families are responsible for transportation to and from school.

Application Timeline:

  • Applications Available: Beginning March 2, 2026.
  • Application Deadline: Applications must be completed and submitted to the Office of Student Services by March 31 , 2026. 

Lottery and Notification:

  • A new student lottery will be held on April 10, 2026.(If the number of community peer applicants exceeds the available spots)
  • Parents will be notified of acceptance on or before April 17, 2026.

Registration:

  • Registration will open on April 20, 2026
  • Registration will close on May 8, 2026

Preschool Screenings:

  • Screenings for accepted students will take place between May 1 and May 29, 2026.

Additional Information:

  • The date for Preschool Orientation and the first day of school will be determined and shared with families after registration.

Registration For Students in Pre-K

To register your child for Pre-K, you must first contact Rose Frisch (primary) or Laura Nasuti (alternate):

Once your child is approved for Pre-K, you will then make an appointment with the Central Registration office to begin the registration process.
