Dennis-Yarmouth Regional School District Renews Superintendent's Contract

South Yarmouth, MA — September 12, 2025— The Dennis-Yarmouth School Committee is pleased to announce the renewal of Superintendent Marc J. Smith’s contract, extending his leadership through June 30, 2028. The decision was made following contract discussion in an Executive Session, on May 19, 2025, affirming continued confidence in Dr. Smith’s leadership and vision for the district.

Superintendent Smith has served the district since 2023, leading efforts in school safety, strategic planning, curriculum implementation, communication enhancements, and fostering positive relations with towns. "I am deeply honored by the trust the Committee has placed in my leadership. It has been a privilege to serve as superintendent of this incredible school district over the past two years. I look forward to continuing the important work we’ve begun in implementing our district’s strategic plan.”
