SEPAC

Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC)

The SEPAC advocates for children with disabilities and their families by participating in the planning, development, and evaluation of special education programs. SEPAC provides education, resources, supports, and facilitates partnerships within the community.

Who we are:

The DY SEPAC is a parent group dedicated to supporting the educational needs of our children in special education. We represent all schools in the district, at all grade levels. The SEPAC provides opportunities for parents to network with other parents of children with special needs and participate in the planning, development and evaluation of special education programs in the district. We strive to advocate for children with special needs and share information and resources to help all families.

Who should be involved?

All parents, guardians or grandparents, of students with special needs or other interested parties such as teachers and community members are welcome to participate in the SEPAC. It is your opportunity to make an impact for your child. SEPAC meetings are open, and all are welcome to attend.
