Creating a Parent/Guardian Account in Powerschool

Parents/Guardians can create accounts in PowerSchool to see student grades, update information, see student schedules or access important school information.   

To create an account:
1. Click this link to access Dennis-Yarmouth PowerSchool.
2. Click on the second tab for "Create Account" and then click the blue button for "Create Account"PowerSchool Create Account Image
3. Create an account for yourself. In the "Parent Account Details" section, enter your first name, last name, email address, a username of your choice, and a password of your choice. Your password must contain at least 8 characters, one uppercase letter, one number, and one special character.  Note, you cannot link your children to your account until you receive a letter for each child from the school (s).

4. In the next section, "Link Students to Account"

Enter the information below to add your student to your account. You will get one of these letters for each student you have enrolled. If you have this letter for each student, you can add them all here at one time.  Example:

  • Student Name: Sarah Smith
  • Access ID: Smith222
  • Access Password: ABCDE

5. Once finished, click the blue "Enter" button at the bottom of the screen. Your account will be created.

**Before you can log in again, you must receive and follow the email verification link that will be emailed to the email address you
specified when you created your account.**

6. Once you're logged in, the Grades and Attendance tab will allow you to check assignments and scores by clicking on the blue percentage across from a class. To email the teacher a question or concern, please click the blue teacher's name link. The Grades History tab will show you the grades your child received in previous grading periods. The Teacher Comments tab is used to access current teacher comments for your student and the School Bulletin tab has current announcements for our school.

Once you've signed up, you can also access this information via the PowerSchool Mobile Apple iOS and Android Apps. Just search
for PowerSchool and look for the "PowerSchool Mobile" app.  The Dennis-Yarmouth Regional School District code for the Mobile app is:  SCNH
