Covid-19 has impacted everyone in the world one way or another.
Many families have lost their jobs, people they know or love, or even their
homes. My family however, is very lucky in how none have had their
lifestyle completely changed from Covid-19. My mom is still working her job
as a physical therapist and my dad is returning to work within the next few
weeks. My aunt and uncle are doing curb-side deliveries for their restaurant
and other family members are working from home. We had a few close
calls at my moms work when a few workers and patients contracted the
virus and we had to separate things like which door handles to use and
what parts of the couch we couldn't go on. Thankfully she did not test
positive for the virus and is still continuing to support us by working. We’ve
also been doing video chats with our entire family recently so we can social
distance. It’s also been harder to plan family gatherings because no one
knows when this pandemic will roll over.
For school, I have been doing all my work online (same as most
people) and have found it to be easier than regular schoolwork. Especially
how it only takes half the time to do all the work. Sometimes during the
morning i'll talk with my friends online and do my work with them just like
how I would in school. Since sports have been canceled this year I've just
been practicing sailing on my own to hopefully be better next year. In terms
of my routine It’s pretty much the same as it would be (other than getting up
an hour later), wake up and have breakfast, go to school, come home and
play videogames with some friends. To just be in this time of social
distancing and quarantines is to be in the middle of this historic event and
experience it first-hand. To see how people react to this pandemic and
adapt to their current situation. One day people will look back on these
times and remember they lived through it.
