Visual Arts

-A A +A

The award-winning Visual Arts Department believes in nurturing six senses: [Design; Story; Symphony; Empathy; Play; and Meaning][1] in developing visual literacy…the ability to interpret, use, appreciate, and create images [and objects] using both conventional and 21st century media in ways that advance thinking, decision making, communication, and learning.[2]

We offer a wide, studio-based curriculum ranging from fundamental Visual Arts classes to Drawing, Printmaking and Advanced Printmaking, Painting and Advanced Painting, Sculpture and Advanced Sculpture, Ceramics and Advanced Ceramics, Traditional Darkroom Photography and Digital Photo Editing, as well as Advertising and Humanities. College Portfolio-building and Advanced Placement Studio Art: Drawing and 3D classes are also offered. We also offer both Graphic Design and Web Design classes through our IT Department.

Come explore all the possibilities of your creative spirit with our experienced, knowledgeable and dedicated staff.
