100 books to read this summer!

I am excited to discover some new children's books this summer! Already I  notice a few (Dogger, Owl Babies and Sylvester and the Magic Pebble) that were favorites of my own children that we read over and over. I hope that you discover a new favorite for your family. Happy Reading! Click here to discover the books:

Choosing a Just Right Book!

When selecting a "Just Right" book, there are some key points to consider. Readers can think about if they enjoy or are interested in the topic, if they can read the text smoothly with just a few places to slow down and think, and if they understand what they are reading. "Just Right" books are what we will be reading the most in second grade! What makes a just right book is unique to every reader! Share with us the title of your "Just Right" book from home! We are always excited to add a new book to our classroom treasures!
