Cape Light Compact and Rise Engineering Collaboration of Energy Saving Efforts

-A A +A

Below you will find a summary of our collaboration with Cape Light Compact and Rise Engineering on energy saving efforts at the Mattacheese Middle School.  A big thank you to all for this upgrade .  We also had a similar project in nature done at the Nathaniel H. Wixon Middle School .

Hot Water Pumps 1 Through 5

Installed a premium efficiency motor paired with a variable frequency drive, (VFD) which will offer close control of the speed at which the motor operates using a temperature differential controller generating a decrease in the electrical consumption required to satisfy the same heating demand.

Gymnasium Demand Control Ventilation

Demand Control Ventilation (DCV) which will monitor CO2 and motion signals and allow for fresh air rates to be modulated based on ASHRE standards, limiting the amount of outside air needing conditioning.

Gymnasium Destratification Fans

Destratification fans displace warm air trapped in elevated locations and maintain equal temperature throughout the areas they serve.

Auditorium Demand Control Ventilation

Demand Control Ventilation (DCV) which will monitor CO2 and occupancy and allow for fresh air rates to be modulated according to ASHRE standards.

Cafeteria Demand Control Ventilation

Demand Control Ventilation (DCV) which will monitor CO2 and motion signals and allow for fresh air rates to be modulated according to ASHRE standards.
